Balance, not dissolution

The Central Thesis

The whole teaching seen as one field of opposites held in harmony. We do not destroy the ego; we bring the Ego Self and the True Self into balance.

We are a fractal of a higher Self

The Fractal Self

That smaller, repeating shape is what lets the dense body enter this world and know it from the inside. As above, so within.

Beyond the First Cause. Where the field begins to differentiate: the ground of possibility beneath every apparent cause.
Beyond the First Cause

Cycle of Differentiated Consciousness. The cycle by which one consciousness differentiates into many, and returns.
Cycle of Differentiated Consciousness
One appearing as many, and remembering itself as one.
You Are Not in the Universe. The universe awakening through you, roots in the earth and head among the stars.
You Are Not in the Universe
Not a thing inside the cosmos, but the place where it looks back at itself.

The Unified Field Within. All of it, held within a single life.
The Unified Field Within
All of it, held within a single life.
The Limits of Perspective. Two panels. On the left, an ocean at sunrise with a single great wave rising from it and a droplet lifting from the crest, labeled ocean as creator, wave as player and droplet as character, under the line that the droplet experiences its own boundary and mistakes individuality for independence. On the right, the Earth seen against a field of galaxies, with a ring marking the limit of what we see from where we stand, under the line that a small perspective cannot see the whole and may mistake its horizon for all that exists. Beneath both, the statement that we may mistake the limits of our perspective for the limits of our belonging, and that what has diminished is not our continuity with the whole but our awareness of it.
The Limits of Perspective
A boundary is a limit of vantage rather than a limit of belonging.
The inward turn

The Revolution of the Mind

How mind, perception, and awareness quietly change the world we meet. The stages of consciousness, the two selves, and the practices that awaken.

The Four Stages of Consciousness: Innocence (the undifferentiated child), Identification (the constructed ego), Awakening (the recognition), Ambivalence (the harmonious self).

The Five Apertures. A dark wall with five openings onto the same calm light: the blow, the long rain, the middle of life, the death process, and practice, a carved doorway with a figure seated inside.
The Five Apertures
Not failures, not punishments, not lessons sent on purpose. Openings.
The Mirror of Reality. As within, so without: reality answering the state we hold.

Sharing a timeline

Resonance

As life changes us, our perception changes with it, and we come to share a world with others whom life has shaped the same way. No one turns a dial. The shared world follows what life has made of us.

Shaped Into the Same World. Two streams, one falling over rock and one winding through dry, cracked ground, meet in one valley where two figures stand together looking at the same view.
Shaped Into the Same World
Each of us is carved by our own ground. Where life has shaped us alike, our paths meet, and the world we see becomes one we share.
The Mirror of Reality. Inner state becoming outer world.

From Belief to the Shared World. What we come to believe shapes how we see, and people who see alike come to share a world.
From Belief to the Shared World

The Pronoun Law. A figure sends the sentences I lack and I am capable into a mirror; they return to two other figures as You lack and You are capable. Six numbered panels below show the round trip, the missing negative, the present tense, the nearest surface, the indifferent mirror, and mass rather than belief.
The Pronoun Law
What you hold as true leaves you in the first person and returns to you in the second.
Thought Forms and Resonance. Three panels across the top show a figure surrounded by spheres of energy. In the first, a held belief provides a matching pattern and attention aligns with the sphere that resonates with it. In the second, a different sphere has no matching anchor within the existing thought pattern. In the third, the underlying belief has changed and a new pattern can be received and sustained. A lower band shows four kinds of form, egregores, pendulums, tulpas and servitors, each drawn as a sphere of its own, with the note that none is inherently benevolent or hostile and each carries the resonance of the thought forms that shaped it.
Thought Forms and Resonance
A form takes hold where something already held gives it an anchor.
Being here now

Kairos

Awareness turned into a daily practice: the small, repeated act of noticing where we are and choosing again.

From thought to manifestation

Sankalpa

The ladder of creation, climbed on purpose: thought to intention to action to habit to belief to the world that forms around it. It is a real step on the road, and one we will either decide to stay at or keep moving past.

The Step on the Road. A figure holding a steering oar stands on a stone landing partway along a mountain path that continues down to a river and the sea, with five stations below: conditioning, seeking, seeing the trap, letting go, participating fully.
The Step on the Road
If it is helping you steer, you are standing at the step. Whether to stay there or keep moving is yours to decide.
The Path of Manifestation. Clarity, frequency, embodiment, receiving: the architect's view. A step on the road, not the end of it.
The Path of Manifestation
Clarity, frequency, embodiment, receiving: the architect's view. A step on the road, not the end of it.
From Belief to the Shared World. What fills the mind shapes how we see, and how we see shapes the world we meet.

Turning toward the cause

Healing

Distraction offers a temporary numbness. Awareness lets the unresolved thing be faced, understood, and turned into a different way of living. One plate, and the shortest section here, because the instruction is short.

From Avoidance to Healing. A pattern changes when the one carrying it turns toward its cause.
From Avoidance to Healing

When the seeking becomes the trap

The Second Movement

The ego does not end when it recognizes its limits. It learns the language of transcendence, and the search for freedom can become the last room of the prison. Six plates on the traps that only open once the path is already underway. The ladder they build is dissolved in the section that follows.

Traps and Distractions. The object differs; the movement away is the same.

Beyond Awakening

The canonical addendum, translated into three plates. The seeker discovers a further trap. The ladder dissolves. The way of water opens. Ambivalence, in this work, means intimacy without possession. It stands last on purpose: the ladder it dissolves is the one the section before taught you to climb, and both are true in their place.

The Way of Water. Three panels: Harmony, Nonattachment, Purposeless Participation.
The Way of Water
Harmony without control, intimacy without possession.
The Ladder That Disappears. Three panels: Seeking, Seeing the Trap, Letting Go.
The Ladder That Disappears
The desire for a higher level creates the ladder.
The Four Stages of Consciousness. Innocence, Ignorance, Awakening, Ambivalence.
The Four Stages, Refreshed
